Value attribution in healthcare

First, a nod to Joan Westenberg, whose recent post The Case for Blogging in the Ruins inspired the creation of this space.

I have been interested for some time in developing flexible models of value attribution in healthcare. Models that support a broader base of beneficiaries, a more diverse set of contributors including coders, patients, artists, clinicians, community members, and families, and a wider range of supporters across nonprofit, for-profit, and government contexts.

While my experience is largely shaped by work in the U.S. healthcare system, my aim is to explore approaches that can serve a global audience. After decades working in healthcare and digital health, I am now in a position to engage with these questions in a more concrete, though still experimental way.

I am not sure where this will lead. I do know that I want to think out loud, build in the open, and share what I learn as this work unfolds.
